Board of Directors Approves Moving Forward with Member Vote

We are pleased to announce that the Boards of Directors of First Cooperative Association and Pro Cooperative have approved a Unification Agreement to combine the two cooperatives. The potential unification is subject to a vote of Pro Cooperative members, per terms of the Unification Agreement.

Based on a thorough analysis of the due diligence teams over the past several weeks, Board members believe the unification would benefit both cooperatives in significant ways, including:
•            Strengthening market presence to best serve members and secure equity for the future
•            Increasing size and scale to maximize local and export grain market opportunities
•            Gaining operational efficiencies across all lines of business
•            Utilizing capital investment dollars for a greater impact across a larger member base
•            Creating additional career opportunities for current and future employees
Unification would help strengthen the future of our cooperative for generations to come.
